Protecting your privacy is important to us. We hope the following statement will help you understand how Background Eraser – Remove Background uses and protect your personal information you may occasionally provide to us via the Internet.
1) Information when you use our App
STORAGE PERMISSIONS - When you use the photo editing feature or camera, we need permission to access your local media to select images. When you save the photo, we need the storage permission of the local media, in order to save photo and change the save path; This permission is only for editing and saving photos. We will not obtain any video or photo from your device, nor will we modify or delete the content in your local media storage.
CAMERA PERMISSIONS – When you use the photo shooting feature, we need camera permission to take photos. This permission is only used for photo shooting. And the captured material will be stored in your local device.
GOOGLE PHOTOS LIBRARY PERMISSIONS - When you use the photo editing feature, we need permission to access your Google Photos library to select images. This permission is only used for processing and editing your selected photos. We will not modify, add, or delete any content in your Google Photos library, ensuring that your data remains intact and secure.
ANALYTICS - We may use third-party analytics tools such as Google Firebase Analytics to help us analyze usage trends for the services. These tools will track the information on how you use our App. We may collect and use this analytics information in aggregate form such that it cannot reasonably be manipulated to identify any particular individual user.
LOG FILE - When you personally decide to email us your feedback or to provide us with a bug report. We collect your name, email address, device information, location information and your survey response only. In addition, when you upload your photos through mail, requesting to increase AI Cutout recognition accuracy, we may collect additional information including the photos you sent to us. We promise that we will use the photos you sent to complete your request only.
2) Google User Data
Our application will access your Google user data when necessary, including but not limited to:
· Your Google account information (email address, first and last name, username, etc);
· Google Photos library
The permission is only used for processing and editing your selected photos. We will not modify, add, or delete any content in your Google Photos library. Additionally, the permission may be used for LOG FILE purposes as described above.
Permission: By using Google OAuth for authentication and authorizing access to your Google Photos data, you grant us permission to collect necessary authentication and usage data to enhance your experience.
Purpose: We only use your Google user data within the scope of services provided to you. We do not use your data for any purposes beyond those directly related to the operation and improvement of the app. We do not utilize this data for any other purposes, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, or external analysis.
Sharing: We will not share your Google user data with any third party unless we obtain your explicit consent or are required by law to do so. When sharing data, we ensure the security and compliance of the data. We may use third-party software to analyze certain other user data, but this is solely to provide and improve the functionality of the app and does not serve any other purpose.
3) ADs. We may allow the third-party online advertising network such as Google ads and Facebook ads to collect information about your use of our App over time for playing or displaying ads that may be of interest to you.

5) To comply with law.
Under applicable laws of your jurisdiction, you may have one or more of the rights to your personal information. These rights may include (if relevant):
1) Provide you with information we collect about you;
2) Device permissions. You may revoke any permissions you have granted to us before, such as permission to access your camera or camera roll.
3) Delete (your photograph);
4) Opt out. You have the right to ‘opt out’ of receiving personalized ads.

Background Eraser does not store any personal information from you.
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your personal
information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure through the service.
However, please understand that it is not 100% secure or error-free during information transmission or information storage. Namely, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the integrity and security of your personal information. If you have reason to believe that your personal information is not safe, please contact us immediately so that we can take the appropriate measures.
1) Share. We promise to keep your personal information confidential. Except for the scenarios stipulated in this policy, we only share your necessary information with third parties in the following situations:
- Have obtained your explicit consent or authorization;
- When it is required to be provided in response to instructions from state agencies, authority, or administrative or judicial requirements;
- When achieving the purposes described in the section "How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information";
- Share with advertising service and technical support partners.
In order to provide you with more complete and high-quality products and services, we may share some of your personal information with our partners. Please note that we will only share your personal information for legal, legitimate, necessary, specific and clear purposes. At the same time, we require third parties to deal with shared information with confidentiality and security measures no less than those required by this policy. Once we discover any violation of dealing with the personal information, we will terminate the partnership immediately and pursue legal responsibility.

2) Transfer. Except for the requirements of laws and regulations, mandatory administrative law enforcement, judicial or regulatory requirements, we will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual.
3) Disclose. We only disclose your personal information in the following situations;
- According to your needs, disclose your designated personal information in a method that you explicitly agree to;
- According to the requirements of laws, regulations, mandatory administrative law enforcement, judicial or regulatory agencies, where it is necessary to provide your personal information, we may publicly disclose your personal information based on the type of personal information requested and the method of disclosure.
Under the applicable California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), you have certain rights with respect to your personal information collected by us for business purposes. Please note that this section applies only to people who live in California. Your rights include:
1) The right to know about the personal information a business collects about you how it is used and shared;
2) The right to delete the information collected from you;
3) The right to opt-out of receiving personalized ads; and
4) The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.

Background Eraser may, in its sole discretion, modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “updated” date and the “effective” date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last revised and when the updated version became effective respectively. It means that the revised Privacy Policy is accepted by you, once you use the services we provide after those changes become effective.
